Hi all

Looking for pictures of the NM135 apc's. I believe they were built on 113 a2 models, however looking for any changes, other then the additional cannon. Did the vehicle have any additional armor or skirts. Was the rear changed at all?

Also looking at any m48 and chaffee NM116 for destails. Any photos much appreciated!

Thanks
Keith

Try Google Images.

You should be able to turn up some stuff there, if you do a bit of searching with the correct words and terms.

This Storm Squadron 3 site link has some great pics (just click on the various pages). Google translate handles Norwegian if you really must read the text.

Have a great day.

For the NM 116, AFV club have an excellent 1/35 kit specifically of that rather than a standard Chaffee. Might be worth considering picking up as a reference.

Can't find many rear views, but with a little zoom these should help somewhat at least:

Looks like the ramp's unmodified to me, but those storage boxes need adding.

There is an NM116 walk-around here:

Note that in the late 1980s they tended to swap the .50s for MG2s.

Thanks Jemima:)

No worries.

Just looking at those NM-116 plans: I'm not sure, but the array of what looks like nine forward-pointing smoke-grenade dischargers on the right side of the turret looks to me like the array of 'simulated hit' flashbangs that NATO tanks sometimes carried for exercises. You do see them in a lot of photos (but not all), but they're probably not warfighting equipment and I'd probably leave them off any model you might make (the actual smoke grenade dischargers are mounted four each side of the turret).

I'd also add that the muzzle brake was usually different to that shown in the plans, as you can see in the photo above. It was more 'square', like that of the AML-90 armoured car.

Yes

I've several pictures with them and several without! The majority of the museum pictures do not have them, however they do have the smoke launchers so I think thats a good call on leaving them off thanks
