After a year long break from the hobby I decided to try making some wooden soldiers. The fact that I am also getting ready for the first grandkids helped :-)

Also is there a trick to direct linking to dropbox for the pics rather than links?

Those look great, Joe! I had a go at direct linking your pics, but to no success either.

Anyone else able to help?

An interesting concept. Lots of nice detail work.

You may have stumbled upon a new career there!

It's awesome that your grandkids are playing Greeks vs. Persians, rather than whatever TV-linked copyrighted product!

Great stuff! I was too busy working when both my son and granson were young enough to have appreciated something like that. But it has to be fun making those! Only one suggestion, one Gramps to another…no sharp points.

I really like it. Sometimes I think I should go the route you did, that is painting the helmets, etc. rather than trying to obtain the "proper" shape.

I think it really adds a lot of enjoyment to the hobby as a whole when you make the figures that you paint and game with. It does add to the time a little, but not as much as people think.
