In case you didn't notice, I'm catching up on all my TMP reading today. A great way to end one year and start another.

Did anyone attend the lectures at Fall In? I thought it was an interesting mix, but between hosting several games and running a flea market table, I didn't get a chance to stop by.

In my opinion, several of the topics are worthy of repeat presentation at future HMGS conventions. The Bin Laden raid will be discussed for years to come and it's not like the Ukraine is going away anytime soon. Pete and Orest, if you are listening, I hope you will consider hosting more lectures in the future.

On the WWI theme lectures, I have heard Dr. Zuber speak in the past. (You may not always agree with what he has to say, but he is always entertaining and willing to engage his audience.) I would gladly sit in on any of the other WWI lectures. I hope there will be more in the future.

Lecture programs tend to add to the intellectual weight of conventions in particular and the hobby as a whole, something that the hobby could use. I hope more will be done in the future in this area. Given the anniversaries, I expect that we will see some ACW and Waterloo lectures for 2015.

Hope to see you there.

I loved the lectures that I got to listen to. Particularly the ones on World War I. I always make sure that I attend the lectures when I attend a convention
