Are you a fan of miniatures armies that have units with only a single pose?

a. Yes, I like to see identical figures all in the same pose in my miniature armies.
b. Yes, but only for certain historical eras.
c. No, I prefer lots of variety in poses in my units.

d I like single figure for 'regular' troops, a bit of variety for 'Irregular'.

A – like to see ranks of troops marching in the same pose. And that unit of Airfix Confederates stabbing the ground will always be a favourite.

I prefer variations on a theme – say 6 different march attack figures.

C. I prefer my Regulars to be a bit more, well, regular, but my Irregulars are as irregular as I can get them

Unless in 6mm or smaller – then I like 1 pose with the occassional flag and command figures

B – depending on period. Any sort of regular troops pre 1900 all in the same/similar poses please (at least in the same unit).

I hate it when they all look the same! I don't mind if they are in a similar pose but with different equipment.

B. Like Garrison miniatures I prefer the 'serried ranks' look for regulars, but irregulars are just that, irregular.

Somewhere between B & C. For regulars in formation the same or very similar poses but with an odd character different. Foundry used to do (perhaps still do) character packs that made this look good. The line of waiting spear-men in near identical alert poses with the one Sam Small drinking from his wine skin and such odd ones make a unit.

c – I try to make each one unique with slightly different poses or equipment.

B. If I'm playing an era where the figures need to rank up tightly, the same pose lets me pack them in there.

Bah, I have two entire WW2 batalions (ca 400+) with every pose different.

I only play 20th century and scifi, so as much variety in poses as possible.
A skirmish game where all 8 riflemen look the same is embarassing.
