Yes nice indeed, a quality presentation not only motivating to try out the rules for a great gaming night, but a 2015 shot in the arm to update my old blog :)
thanks for all of that

Cheers

Interesting stuff, I've thought about adapting the 5150 setup rules for my Engage! Star Trek games.

Very cool.

Who else saw this shot and immediately thought of the following scene from Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and Jerry Goldsmith's awesome "Klingon Battle" theme? YouTube link

Not necessary; I've recently been fast forwarding on Netflix through all the movies for 'those moments'.

"Reliant, in our section of this quadrant, and closing…"

Interesting stuff, I've thought about adapting the 5150 setup rules for my Engage! Star Trek games.

Please DO share when you've cogitated a bit further! ;->=

And, of course, thanks Keith, and Happy New Year, All!!

Thank you, gentlemen, for the kind words.

JPattern2 – good catch.

When those D7's minis had to make that turn hard to port, I immediately thought of ST:TMP and began to hum the Goldsmith Klingon Theme, including an imitated percussive sequence of finger-snaps.

Megz was amused, and told me I was quite the nerd.

Dave Manley – the 5150 SN setup rules are refreshing, and to me, fairly innovative. Who publishes the Engage! rules?

Best regards,
Keith

Engage! is published by Red Wyvern Games, ana available in PDF from Wargame Vault. They are the best "quick play" set of rules I've come across for catching that Star Trek "feel" and have proven to be quite popular at the Berkeley Vale club

Excellent – my thanks to you.

Nice AAR! I do like Star Navy as a fast & fun spaceship game.

Just back from holiday and catching up with TMP. Well written and well played. As someone who also uses 5150 Star Navy for Trek, I'd be interested in the stats you used for your ships.

Norrins,

That's a good idea for a follow-up post. I think it was your blog what first gave me the notion to try Star Navy.

I'll have something in a day or so.

Keith
