I am looking to put together a generic European-style civilian mob from the period roughly 1600-1800 using 28mm figures. I want a good range of variants: men, women and children, armed with a variety of weapons: pitchforks, scythes, hatchets etc., plus a few with muskets, pistols, blunderbus etc. The ‘mob' will amount to 50-60 figures, and I am looking for as much ‘character' as possible. Can you suggest manufacturer ranges that I should consider, ideally that are compatible with one another? |

for so many you need to go everywhere. also not everybody everywhere was dressed the same style especially over 200 years. then pirate games French and indian / AWI some fantasy few medieval especially simply dressed women. front rank 18th cty + medieval old glory AWi/FIW+ pirates perry AWI foundry redoubt you can look at some plastic as cheap and as they are smaller would do kids. Better order all on line and go to a big show to collect otherwise you'll end up with many 6 minis orders! |

Old Glory's pirate line includes a package of civilians with various, sometimes improvised, weapons. Warlord Games has a set of "Clubmen Militia," locals of both sexes with improvised weapons. Grelber |
