Okay, Barrel Roll and turn: Air War C21 – Success you turn "in" one hex side. Air War 1918 – Success you turn 60 degrees either direction. Um, one of those doesn't sound right. Next questions will involve Falling Leaf, Loop, and Wingover/Immelmann example diagrams. I understand several diagram examples in Air War 1918 are "broken." If true, where is there a corrected set of diagrams/examples, please? |

I don't have the rules with me at the moment but I believe the text takes precedence over the diagrams some of which are wrong. As for different manoeuvres with the same name between the two sets, remember that AirWar factors in vertical movement in the manoeuvres and there is a lot more of that with jets. IIRC, the real life modern Immelman bears little relation to what WW1 flyers called an Immelman. |
