The current issue of Slingshot has loads of info and some nice pics of Classical Indians in 28mm. It piqued my interest loads of nellies for shock and stacks of archers for fire power. Could be a lively army on the table but I only game in 15mm these days. So views on the best Classical Indian 15mm range and compatibility with others would be most welcome. Any pics you might have would be even better. Thanks for reading. |

I believe the next issue will review 15mm figures as Richard asked me for samples of the 15mm Indian archers a while back. Mike |

Thanks Mike I will look forward to that. Are your Classical Indians sculpted in the same style as your Sea Peoples and Libyan stuff? I have a bunch of them and I like them. |

I'm looking forward to the figures I've order from War and Empire. link Not sure about their elephants though. My current elephants for the Indians are Old Glory and they don't have the right shape of ears for Indian elephants. Mike's are better in this regard, as are Essex's IIRC. |

Years ago I fought a classical Indian army with maiden warriors.I thought they were Essex 15mm, but I couldn't find them in their catalog, very exotic looking army. As usual they turned my boys into pin cushions! |

Interesting link Swampster I wonder how they compare sizewise. |

By the way, we have classical Indians as well of the Satavahana era. The interesting thing about them is they were contemporaries of the Kushans and so there are lots of morphing opportunities without using inaccurate figurines. Their elephants also wore very interesting square plates as armour. |

You can see the figurines here btw: link |

Yeah some of those infantry might fit Jon. Certainly the spearmen. |

Thanks for the responses. I got a bunch of stuff from Blackhat(7 units in PK terms) and they are very nice sculpts (Essex compatible sizewise). This means I can add units from some or all of the suggestions above. It should be a nice looking army once I've finished. |
