This weekend the local HMGS-South group played a Napoleonic game using Column, Line and Square, Version 2. The scenario was an Allied attack on the French near Probstheyda, south of Leipzig, on 18 October 1813.

Are there some Minifigs in there? They remind me of the Old School figs I gamed with decades ago.

Florida Tory28 Dec 2014 8:28 a.m. PST

The forces on the table were primarily Minifigs (1st & 2nd generation), but the someone with an Eagle eye could also spot Scruby, Hinchcliffe, DerKreigspielers, Sash and Saber, and Old Glory (1st & 2nd generations) castings, and possibly some others.

Thanks to NCC1717 for taking and posting the pictures, and providing the liquid refreshment on a warm Florida day.

Most Excellent! I had forgot how massive CLS looks on tables. Thanks for sharing this.

Our plays CLS on a regular basis, small games regularly and two large games, one in the spring and another in the fall. This spring we will be doing Albuera on a 24' table in the garage. I expect we will have between 18 and 24 players.

Great looking game!!

I would assume these are 25mm figures. I love to see units with a 1:20 ratio(the way it should be). I have always like the CLS rules. They are much like GDW's Fire and Steel rules that I use. If you are familiar with those rules, NCC1717, and Florida Tory, what are your thoughts on them? Is Fire and Steel, CLS lite? OLD SCHOOL NAPPY RULES ROCKS!

Reggie88:

I can't help much with your question. I have played CLS only once. I played the System 7 version of F&S only a couple of times in the 80s before modifying it significantly.

What was the order of battle you guys used for this game?
