IBack in November I purchased a few blisters of the Great War Miniatures later Germans from Northstar for a nascent Verdun 1916 project. I've now got the first dozen test models done and am quite happy with the grimy look that I have got.
I'm looking forwards to finishing my platoon and using them with the new WWI modifications for Chain of Command published in the latest Christmas special from TFL As usual, loads more images on Scrivsland link |

I like the look too. Perfect for fighting in the mud and blood of Verdun. |

Very nicely done, great shades of grey. |

Those are superb, as is normal with your work. I almost hate to bring this up, but Verdun started in February; wouldn't the troops mostly be wearing greatcoats? |

Thanks chaps. We are looking to play the attacks in and around Vaux and Souville in June, so more light gear. |
