Tex, I have no intention to be offensive, but better if you enhance your knowledge on northern Italian troops at least in the napoleonic period. Please consider that a certain number of good "french" unit were in reality Italian, so may be not so nice to see but effective. |

@ II Granatiere. I think most of us know most southern Italian soldiers were often less than effective: understandably given their lack of commitment to their state. Northern Italians have a very fine reputation: in Russia, in particular. |
