Not sure if this is the right board but I want to use it for 15mm fantasy gaming so I'll post it here.

When I was a kid there was a toy set of a handful of plastic monsters hat came in a small rock tower. They were multicolored and plastic army man sized. They had a bird man, a ettin, and a few others humanoid monsters that I cannot remember now. It was one of the cheap dollar store type toys kids would get for a couple of bucks.

Does anyone still makes these sets and does anyone have a clue as to what it was called.

thanks
DZT

I remember these..

I see the lizardman was based off a Grenadier min

Several of the others were based on Grenadier sculpts, too.

That caveman looks familiar, though the one I had was baseless and had a ring on its head (so it could be tied to anything).

I have three of them, all but the purple one. I got the older two at K Mart, I guess around 1982. Two bucks apiece- I loved those things!

BTW, DZT, thanks for that link- lots of wonderful old stuff there. grin

And I have been struggling to find a source for them too.

I used to have the grey set when I was a kid.
Oh and I spent a good amount of time looking thru the site. Lots of old goodies in there.

Glad you guys liked it too.

Oh the nostalgia!

I used to have some of those sets as a kid. They painted up very nicely and were a boon to my now long gone collection of D&D miniatures.

Cheers, TW
