Here is another Plasticville conversion I finished today. It was a lot of fun. Nothing too dramatic, just better than it was when I got it. Moving along on to the next one, a Gun shop. link Tom |

Zombies and the Post Office (or any government building) just kinda goes together. |

Loved it. It is so rewarding to see someone rehabilitating Plasticville buildings. Great painting as well, subtle but effective. More please. |

Very nice! I've got table full of PV that I use for my trains and 25-28mm skirmish gaming. A gun shop? That one I want to see! |

Your attention to the surface of the building is great. Are you using any special tools---like an airbrush? The texture of the bricks really makes the work stand out, nice job. |

Random DR- I am using weathering dust. First I use reds, grey and some light brown, and then dull coat it. Then I go back in with some white weathering dust for the mortar, and then dull coat one last time. After that I assemble the windows, etc. The weathering dust is a new thing for me, but I read up on it. There are many ways to get the bricks to look realistic with mortar, but this was the easiest and quickest for me. You learn a lot reading Rail Road Toy train forums. I read up on whole to make cracked glass, but have not taken that plunge yet. Thank you! and Thanks everyone. Tom I am almost finished with the gun shop, should be posted in a few hours. |
