A Clear and Present Madness is a free expansion for Warfare in the Age of Madness, and focuses on late 20th and early 21st Century conventional and asymmetric warfare, adding new elements, new, battlefield threats, new traits, new actions, new gear, and new game play. It introduces an expanded and more flexible force creation system that includes three levels of play and force specialization.
Included are samples of real-world forces modeled in Age of Madness terms, including Stryker companies, Bradley company, OPFOR company, and insurgent forces.
We also would like to thank members of the TMP community for insights in the role and function of close air support on today's battlefield. We were able to make some last minute tweaks to the new CAS rules based on these comments by fellow TMP'ers and really appreciate everyone's input. We don't intend Age of Madness to be a hardcore simulation. In fact, it's closer to something like "AK-47 Republic" or "The Sword and the Flame" for the modern battlefield. But we do try to meet historical or real-world expectations, so the comments from TMP members who have done this stuff for real are highly valued!
