I have a small collection of 50ft to 1 inch plans for waterline models of a number of WW2 warships which were put out by the British firm of Modelcraft in the 1940s/50s. Rather large for tabletop games but ideal for in the garden. My question is, does anyone here know of a source of similar plans to this scale for WW1 and the ironclad era? I know of the series in Model Boats magazine in the 1960's but these are far too small. |

There are scale drawings of a number of ACW ships in the official history – can't think of the shelf title of it offhand (50 or 60 bound volumes). They are small – 3 inches in length or so, and are only drafts of the ships, not plans in any way. |

Note that, unless you are actually playing the game with the plans (?), the scale shouldn't matter so long as it is large enough to get dimensions off of. MH |
