I think the owners just decided to cash up whilst they had something someone else would buy. link link Was the CEO departure anything to do with the sell-off? The 2011 refinancing might not have paid off. A strategic review says sell up. The press release only mentions gross assets, not net. Revenue of 7m but what profit? A good time to go? Amazon shares have dropped. The venture investment group of the digital media company I used to work for once said that publishing was too competitive. So if a company with billions of spare cash rates the industry as not worth investment, was Osprey's refinancing move too high risk? |
