Hi,

I am very happy that this is now online. Feel free to ask any question here or on the KS page.
Would be nice if the goal was met as it would help me with releasing the Chimps in one big batch. kickstarter.com/projects/westfaliaminiatures/steampunk-menagerie-in-28mm

Thank you for looking!

Darn. I want that steampunk T. rex so badly, but really don't have any use for the monkeys. Will you be offering it separately?

KaweWeissiZadeh22 Dec 2014 12:04 p.m. PST

It's a huge piece of cake to bake! I shall wait how much interest there is, but I really want one too which certainly helps.

@Double W: No use for the 'crabs'? That's alternate starting pledge, though a bit more dear than the organ grinders.

If this comes to pass, those primates will be worthy trade bait, as well.

I'm still waffling a tic, but mostly because, having failed a promise of 'never KS', twice, I'm leery of giving it a go a third time.

Those damn crabs, though…

I'm going to need a few days to think of whether I want the swords or gun-armed monkeys (yes, I know I could do both…).

Couldn't find any info on shipping costs, particularly to the US? Is it somewhere there I didn't see?

Dave Crowell22 Dec 2014 4:25 p.m. PST

10 Pounds to the US I think. A bit steep for a basic pledge, but for the T-rex…

Love the look of the chimps would make good minions in a pulp era game for your evil scientist how big are the crabs?

KaweWeissiZadeh24 Dec 2014 1:29 p.m. PST

The chimps are about 18 mm, the crabs like 14mm but they're pretty massive with the weapons attached.

Wow, I really misjudged the size of the crabs; was going by, well, three pledge cost 20% more than five monkeys…

I guess I didn't allow for the boxy bodies.

And yet, I can still hear their siren call.

Like you I was surprised by the size of the crabs. Since I am pretty partial to anything arthropod related and since these might be fun to have fight "real" bugs I'll continue to keep an eye on them!

Well, it was a ballpark estimate on my part; they are short and bulky, and as the man said about many options…

Proving once again about assumptions.

All the parcels have been shipped and are on the way to the costumers. Fulfilled 1 month before it's due date and I am proud that this has worked out well and that the products are as clean and crisp as they are.

Thanks!
