What are your big projects for next year? I imagine we will see a lot of WW1 and Waterloo. I look forward to seeing some grand convention games.

I don't know if I have any big projects. Well, I do have hundreds of painted 1/72 AWI figs that need to be based.

Actual projects. Hmmm. Early WW2 Desert game. I am about 1/3 in and lost steam when I realized I could not go to Southern Front this year.

Finish up my Hellenistic Armies and paint ALL of my gauls.

WEG Star Wars Miniatures need to be painted for my son.

Finish my Austrian and French 28mm Napoleonic Armies.

Still a little to do although I already have two French divisions (for Black Powder), 12 batteries of artillery, two regiments of dragoons and one of hussares. In order to "finish" the army I want 2 regiments of currasier, 2 regiments of chassuers, and one brigade of the old guard. I figure I can play just about any scenario, then.

As for my Austrians, I need to finish one more infantry division and add some artillery. I already have 2 regiments of curassier and three of hussars.

Early Germans in 28mm – I reckon over 500 of them should be a start. You know, the ones who couldn't afford shirts and still gave Rome a really bad time…

The one thing I will do this year is read and compare V&B, MaR, WitAoR, KotB and BP with what I find reading Duffy and Nosworthy. And attempt to play along with this pile of Legos, Risk figures, Monopoly houses, paper/masking/gaff tape, foam shapes, colored twine, etc.

Meanwhile my 15mm-meets-1/100 NF/SF project languishes and awaits my attention, as does the 28mm FIW skirmish idea, and then there's that wild thought about a Pulp-meets-VSF Weird West 1/72-meets-25mm Imagi-Nations campaign…

Still, battles of FtG offered instruction for Napoleon, so possibly a bit to learn there. Legos and big books it is…

I have so many, I'll have to sit down and do some soul searching to figure out what I want to finish.

Greeks and Macedonians in 28mm for FOG. 28mm Scots/Irish for FOG, a mass of 20mm plastic Samurai odds and peices and any new Napoleonics young Mr Barton releases,

Tally Ho!

I don't have big projects planned, but I know the two groups I play in will be doing 1815 battles most of the year.

Personally I just want to have Napoleonic skirmish ready for late March, and finally get at least two forces for my 6mm WWII microarmor project done.

Jamesonsafari22 Dec 2014 1:47 p.m. PST

1/72 scale Canadians vs. Taliban is I suppose the big one for me this coming year,; need to make terrain, finish figures, vehicles etc. But making all the terrain is a biggie.

Bashing on with my 28mm Samurai is also big.

But I want to also push forward a bit on my 15mm SYW, 28mm Medieval. 28mm NWF and 15mm WW2 too.

No really big new projects. I have enough of them.
I might expand my Flames of War "armies" to include Vichy French and a British Armoured Reconnaissance company or American airborne.

Anything else will be just expanding my existing stuff with "New! Shiny!" stuff.

Doug MSC Supporting Member of TMP22 Dec 2014 2:42 p.m. PST

I must expand my 40mm AWI armies with British in Roundabouts, Hessian & French Artillery, Brunswick Dragoons, more Indians and civilians, American Light Inf., and a Spanish army.

waaslandwarrior22 Dec 2014 3:43 p.m. PST

Quatre-Bras Allied armies for Black Powder in 28mm (Perry).
We will see how far I get by end of june.

15mm By Fire & Sword. At least two skirmish forces must get painted ASAP, so I can start playing.

There are also some SYW armies looking my way, telling me they want soem paint, but I'm trying not to start too many different projects at the same time.

Leadjunky22 Dec 2014 5:29 p.m. PST

I think my big one for 15 will be my Modern Africa that has been on hold these last few years and whatever new this that distracts me again.

FusilierDan Supporting Member of TMP22 Dec 2014 6:44 p.m. PST

Other than continuing the projects that I have started I may build a German or Russian force for Chain of Command/ Bolt Action.

Maybe 40 mm Medevils too :-)

Dan 05522 Dec 2014 7:39 p.m. PST

Finish my 15mm ACW armies (1 corp each) and the rules to go with them.

IUsedToBeSomeone23 Dec 2014 3:56 a.m. PST

54mm Napoleonics – Bavarians, Wurtemberegers and some French
54mm English Civil War – 2 armies

Make a start on 54mm Sudan…
