Ooooh., it's a Rauwoof! Like it!evil grin

Any chance of some anthropomorphized squirrels?evil grin

Seriously, even the raccoons have gotten some love in 15mm sci fi, but why no love for everyone's favorite love-to-hate bane of gardeners and cat owners everywhere?evil grin

BTW, will you be doing more poses of this fine canidoid fellow?

Leland,
Glad you like, love to do more but not going to do the production side myself ( I have enough moulds of 6mm stuff to keep track of!) so will do so if commisioned to do a range.

That sort of saying used to amuse Traveller refs while they thought up nice ways to kill you…………..

Leon,

they're some of the assorted aliens from the *second* set of sci fi miniature ground combat rules published here in the US waaaay back in the 1970s, FGU's Space Marines.

The aliens in Space Marines were mostly anthropomorphized terrestrial animals, so the Rauwoofs I mentioned were canines, the Mekpurrs are large cat-like aliens socially akin to lions, the Whistlers are avians (the name is what humans call them, as we cannot pronounce the Whistler language), and the Blarads are ursinoids (bears). And so on.

Fun stuff, really, and back in the day it was good fun to have such variety in troop types. Now of course we've all grown so much fussier over our sci fi aliens on the tabletop, but I say there's still a place for such non human troops like these "men in a rubber suit" on the wargame table, even if they represent the descendants of a military genetic engineering program whose products proved too smart for their creators, and got loose amongst an unsuspecting universe, went forth, and were fruitful and multiplied…evil grin

Great work Leon: another vote for 15mm K'hiff, by the way.

Any chance of some anthropomorphized squirrels

Leland, what on earth have you been smoking ;)

Yes! 15mm K'hiff, please. Although I imagine they could only ever be released in secret. After all, a gentleman would never K'hiff and tell.

I'll get me coat.

Heinz Good Aryan26 Dec 2014 10:04 a.m. PST

nice job!!! but that concept was proven a looooong time ago i think…. :-D

BlackWidowPilot Fezian26 Dec 2014 2:09 p.m. PST

Leland, what on earth have you been smoking ;)

Why, John, you know I'm a native Californian… the only thing i am liable to smoke is freshly caught salmon!evil grin

And why not some squirrel-oid alien troops? I mean just the sight of them will force a morale test on even the best powered armor infantry of the enemy:
