The Ganj-i-Sawai was a fearsome opponent, mounting 62 guns and a musket-armed guard of four to five hundred, as well as six hundred other passengers. Google is your friend- it just seems to say it was a heavily armed trading ship. I'd think it was a large galley ship. However paintings from the time show it was more of a European looking ship. |

All I can find is the statement that she was heavilly armed and a merchant vessel. Perhaps some kind of large dhow? |

Almost certain that she would not have been a galley in any conventional sense. |
