Hi all, The conclusion to a series of articles I wrote for Miniature Wargames about Sir Arthur Wellesley's successful assault river crossing at Oporto appears in the January edition this month.
There were a lot of pictures taken in the last play through of this game and space permitted a limited selection of the best ones. I have posted the pictures of the game featuring the model of the Seminary that wasn't ready for earlier games. If you would like to see the pictures then just follow the link to JJ's. Of course if you want to find out what happened, you'll have to pick up a copy of Miniature Wargames. link Cheers Jonathan |

Jonathan, Your miniatures, and all the background you supply, is inspirational. I look forward to seeing each and every new battalion you produce. Your terrain is also fantastic! Where did you get the roads? I think I need to copy you on these, and the fields – those look great as well. Well done, Colin |

Hi Colin, Thank you. The roads were from Terra Firma Studios, but I understand he has stopped trading, but frankly when I need some more I will turn to the trusty J Cloths covered in mastic and grit which I think will work just as well. There are lots of ideas on this on the web. The fields are using roofing felt cut to shape and dry brushed with various shades of brown and a bit on static grass to finish. You can also get away with the roof felt used for roads as well. Hope that helps Jonathan |

Great to finally see the finished seminary. Fantastic layout for one of my favorite battles. |
