Does anyone do 1/600ish waterline models besides Tamiyas 1/700? (No, they're fine models, they just don't have the ships I want.)

See what Airfix, Trumpeter and Lindberg have.

Navwar have the old Skytrex 1/600 range. And there us the PT Dockyard range too

What ships are you after, Sundance? There are several other 1/700 makers over here besides Tamiya.

Feel free to drop me a PM with a list and I'll see what I can find.

PT Dockyard

There are several other 1/700 plastic firms too – particularly Skywave, who aren't as well known outside of Japan, but have a pretty huge range.

Revell does some 1/700 subjects. Are you fussy about cutting plastic? Any ship model can be a waterline model.

Yes, sorry, I should have been more specific. Looking for plastic. 1/700 would be fine – need targets for 1/300 and 1/600 aircraft. Looking for Italian ships – Vittorio Veneto along with cruisers and destroyers. Thanks for the assistance.

Trumpeter do the VV in 1/700. For the smaller stuff I suspect you'll have to go with resin or metal though – the Italian navy isn't well catered for in plastic.

Not in resin either. Combrig makes Emanuele Filiberto Duca D'Aosta at $49.95 USD and Delphis makes a couple of the other Condottieri and all the heavy cruisers at around $80 USD per pop, some of the older battleships at around $95 USD per pop, and some of the destroyers around $45 USD per pop. However, all the Delphis stuff seems to be out of stock at Freetimehobbies.com

Those are scratchbuilding prices anyway.

Great, thanks! I'm not spending that much on a ship just for gaming, so I guess the VV will be the target!
