Yes, I noticed that SEARS had some crazy prices but those take gold!

I think that "set of 72" means 72 bags containing 20 pieces, making them less than $1 USD a bag.

I'd like to think that, anyway . . ..

But it says you're saving $18.75 USD??

@Lucius: I think you are correct.

Plus, you earn 625 points towards……..

That alone, makes them a bargain. I think,

You know, you could always -ask them- exactly what you get. Highlighted text at the bottom of the entry.

Given that there are 72 of them and that they come 20 to the pack, Lucius must be correct.

pretty conclusive evidence, I should think. Lucius wins

20 * 72 = 1440 plastic soldiers, almost enough.

On a more serious note, I'd like to advise anyone reading this not to buy a major appliance at Sears. Several years ago, my wife and I bought a new Kenmore refrigerator from Sears which quickly turned out to be a lemon. Furthermore, we encountered nothing but frustration in dealing with Sears' overseas customer service department, which couldn't schedule timely service calls here in Texas. After having yet another service call delayed (the refrigerator never was worked on once) and after reading online horror stories about Sears' service (which I ought to have read before buying the refrigerator), my wife and I decided cut our losses and get a refund.

Since some time has gone by, I admit that I feel a little bitter writing this. Still, this is the truth. You might like the staff of your local Sears store, plus I imagine they're interested in keeping their customers happy so they'll come back. But Sears' upper corporate management has something else in mind for their customers. The moment you purchase your new appliance, you will no longer be dealing with local Sears staff. I got the impression that Sears used repair people on a contract basis, and that they were very behind schedule with their work.

Shortly after our experience, we noticed that Sears had launched an interesting ad campaign. If a person's newly-purchased appliance needed multiple service calls, the buyer got some kind of discount, or something. I had to laugh, because any normal person who had to endure three or four rounds of Sears' "service" would be ready for an insane asylum!

Sorry, I know this post is a downer, plus it's kind of off-topic. When I read the word "Sears", it triggered this response!

My wife & I were just talking about this yesterday. I have found some wacky, off- the -wall gaming stuff at Sears Online, with patented Insane Amazon Seller prices.

They really need to merge their system with K Mart, which has a pretty good site (and some REALLY good deals). We ordered lots of Christmas gifts for our kid from there.

I used to work at SEARS in the early nineties when the service department was in the store. That was gotten rid of sometime before 2000 from what I can tell. For my Snowblower it gets sent to a shop in Maryland and has been no problem. I never buy warranties though (I saw the kickbacks on those when I worked for Silo).

That said I don't think there will be any need for a maintenance call on plastic soldiers…

Jeigheff, I had exactly the same experience with a refrigerator from Best Buy.

nazrat24 Dec 2014 8:20 a.m. PST

To offset that, I have bought almost every appliance I have ever had from Sears and have never had a problem with one of them. All were Kenmore. I have kept them until I was ready for a new one (often well over a decade) and then gotten the replacement from Sears.

Weasel24 Dec 2014 1:06 p.m. PST

The real shocker in the story is that Sears still exists.
