I have the entire 1815 Brunswick Corps in 15(18)mm from Old Glory but for some reason they didn't include the good Duke in any of thier packages. Does anyone know where I can get a compatible figure so that I can complete this project? Many thanks in advance.

Naismith Design do him mounted. 3 figure pack including 2 ADC's. Modelled on the Haythornethwaite Book illustration.
Pack BRN17.

There is also a very nice Duke of Brunswick in the AB Jena Prussian range.

Isn't the AB figure of the father – not the later 1815 Duke

Anthony Barton20 Dec 2014 2:39 p.m. PST

There's an 1815 Duke on the way from AB.

Mr Barton

Fantastic news, I can't wait. Now how about Lützow Free Corps to make my year

That is very good news young Mr Barton!!

Campaign Games Miniatures do one for 1815, along with 2 ADCs, but unfortunately there is no picture on their website.

PS – I wonder what other goodies Mr Barton has in store for us.

The AB duke is a nice figure. One cast horse and rider.

Chalfant21 Dec 2014 7:10 a.m. PST

Hunh. I had this same problem… I chose to paint a BH Hussar officer in Brunswick colors. Doesn't look like the Duke, but makes a passable commander :) Wish I had asked this same question, maybe I will look for one of these choices too.

Good to have Mr AB on the forum.

I agree, I felt guilty of mentioning what I was hoping for as I realise that Mr Barton will not want the 1001 suggestions of sculpts that we on TMP have for him. But I hope he will realise how passionate many of us are for his figures.

Cavalry,
It will be a temptation for lots of us, but we're a mature bunch. I can't see any of us descending into whining and special pleading about the particular figures they JUST MUST have. Inconceivable…..

AB are for my money, the best wargames figures ever made in any scale (sorry Perrys- they do just pip you too), and in 15/18mm are so far ahead of any competitor range that they are effectively in a category of their own. Hope they keep coming.

Well said seneffe, spot on

To be fair, I did say to Alan Perry during a pub-crawl that his figures were almost as good as AB… :)

His reply was that was the target standard.

Though I agree with the sentiments about AB figures, I have to say that the Perrys are no way inferior.

I have the pleasure to paint both, and I regard both of them as top notch – the Perrys have on top of that a brilliant concept of creating a lot of variations and cover as well all the waggons, artillery etc.

Though I personally prefer 18 mm – the Perrys – along with Black Hussar figures – made me to plunge into 28 mm as well.

And there are others on the horizon, Sho Boki, to name one.
