link These look pretty good for those of you who have just received your Battletech goodies. If you've never done Hirst Arts, its really easy. They recommend special dental plaster etc, but regular Plaster of Paris with a good coat of varnish stands up pretty well. If it does break, just make another! |

Very interesting, I wasn't aware that they make Hex Hills. It;s a very good idea for spicing up a BT tabletop. As for casting material, It seems to me (I could be wrong) that there's almost no reason to use plaster of paris anymore when there are almost-as-cheap plasters and cements that will be alot sturdier. I think my buddy uses ultracal 30 or hydrostone. |

Dental plaster works very well. Cast well and very tough. |

Yes, lots of harder plasters. Hydro stone or other dental plasters are best. Sometimes can be hard to get though, depends where you are. |
