A friend pointed out some laser cut wooden buildings at Cost Plus, so I got some pictures tonight of them with figures for scale. link link link The figures are a GW beastman (primed black), a Reaper Bones barbarian (probably bigger than the normal human) & a dwarf of unknown origin. Unfortunately, they don't seem to fit well with 28mm figures, but would certainly work with 20mm & maybe 15mm |

These are actually really cool. The extreme styling seems to suit 28mm figures. Cost Plus is World Market, right? |

Yeah, a bit on the small side, but the styles do look very well suited for fantasy. I wonder if the size could be remedied by extending the bottom floor walls a bit and putting on bigger doors. How much were these? |

Yes cost plus is world market. I think the full name, at least in California, is cost plus world market. Sorry, I should have said, they're $9 USD each, so a bit pricey to experiment on. But I'll be keeping an eye out for a big post Xmas sale. A friend made the exact same suggestion about extending the walls and replacing the door. Since they're so cartoony, I was thinking they could be made to look even more like hobbit houses by making it look like there's a berm piled up around the walls as a way to not have actually build the walls. |

Use Horst arts blocks or something similar to make a foundation to rest on. With door change they they then should work fairly well. Would the roofs be easy to convert to lift off? |
