HC doesn't care too much about base sizes. You should be fine. |

If you generally controll the rules you use, you can add "house rules". HC and it's relatives, are a really simple set of rules, comparatively, that stress command and control of an army. I'm not sure if it addresses your weapons factor concerns. Basing is not an issue, units are standard, or big or small, which is addressed more in depth. There's a "they are kinda there" aspect, rather than "you have a millimetre overlap" concern.. Seasons Greetings. |

FoG/WRG stands could be as follows… Tiny= 1 Stand Small= 2 Stands Regular= 4 Stands Large= 6 Stands Huge= 8 Stands Arrange them as they look best. A small unit of infantry might be 1 behind the other while a small unit of cavalry might be the stands side by side. |

If you are looking for a set of rules that has different bow ranges try Impetus. You can combine several FOG bases to make an Impetus unit. Bow ranges in FOG are probably based on the effective range listed in tactical manuals and are not maximum ranges. Otherwise composite bows would outrange the longbow. |
