Airfix have deleted their 1/1200 scale Sink The Bismarck set. I don't know when this happened, but I only became aware of it when I tried to find it about ten days ago. There was only one on Ebay, sitting in Australia with postage which would have made Bill Gates baulk! So I contacted Airfix, explained the game I'm planning and asked if they could help me. I did say that really, I only needed the Prinz Eugen. Matt from Airfix responded, told me he had managed to locate a model of the Prinz, and he would send it to me free of charge! It arrived today and will be assembled and painted during the Christmas break. So a big thanks to Airfix, I think they deserve a few brownie points for this one! |
