Volume 10 of Wargaming in History, Wargaming Jackson's 1862 Shenandoah Valley Campaign, has arrived from the printer at Ken Trotman, so if you hurry it can be loaded onto Santa's sleigh, at least in the UK.

I see it got a good review from Henry Hyde, in Miniature Wargames (Dec 2014):

"I can't see this work ever being surpassed as an analysis of the Shenandoah Valley Campaign – an extraordinary achievement, yet delivered in a lively and approachable style which ensures that you are entertained and enthralled as you absorb the authors' scholarship. Hugely recommended"

Henry was very kind. But it is a fact that there has not been much real analysis of the Campaign for the last several years. Lots of analysis of Jackson the man, all good stuff, but not much on the key moments and the genuine constraints that both sides had to contend with.
