The Major from Ghost in the Shell…
This is a miniature from the Rebel Minis Civilian Hunters pack (http://rebelminis.com/hunterspack.html)
I've been a big GITS kick recently and I noticed this miniature sitting on my painting table loose and I realized she made a perfect major! I've attached her to one of my laser etched bases. And from the show:
Any feedback is appreciated!

Strangely, not a fan of GITS, but massive fan of the Standa Alone Complex. I eagerly await a picture of a model Tachikoma… |

Very nice, good visualization and excellent work. I wouldn't have noticed the similarity |

For the full effect, she should be diving off a rooftop. Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex is the best! Good work; it makes me want to do some GitS skirmish gaming. Thanks for posting. Ron |

I have a Gruntz rules module I'll be releasing soon that is called SpecOps… Will work great for that kind of game and includes advancement and campaign rules. |

MrHarold, Is it going to be aimed at skirmish gaming with Gruntz, because that would be awesome! |

Will the Gruntz module be a, um, standalone product? Ron |

Exactly, with blips, new equipment, missions, weapons and armor, 8 special forces team types to choose from, Reactive fire and grenade rules, and more I'm forgetting Designed for 3-10 figures on a side. But using the core gruntz rules so you could easily have a squads of militia vs a special forces squad. Edit: haha at standalone They are in playtest right now and I hope to have them available on Wargamevault for $1.99 USD |

And yes, SAC is my favorite too! |

Kind of hard to do the optical camouflage in miniature :-) As an aside, it was endlessly distracting that the voice actor of the Major in SAC is also voicing one of the characters in Diablo 3. |

Kind of hard to do the optical camouflage in miniature :-) I've been thinking about trying to get some cast in clear resin. |

That would be incredibly awesome. Some of my kids little Halo toys are in a clear plastic for the same effect and it looks pretty decent. |

Great looking fig, fits very well. |

The special ops module sounds very interesting, and I would definitely be interested in some clear resin special ops figures too. I would want enough to give some a half painting effect as cloaking/de cloaking and some simply clear. |

I wonder what you could get up to with clear resin and some sort of wash or ink. |
MrHarold | 19 Dec 2014 9:21 a.m. PST |
I was thinking a generic mannequin shape for the clear casting… What do you guys think? |

I like. That way they could also double up as weird water/forcefield aliens |
