We're pleased to announce the release of two more codes of zombie survivors (although of course they can be used for any type of modern or near future gaming): kids! There's a pack of youngsters just about to hit puberty, say 11-12 years old, and another set in their teen years, say 15-16, so they are on their way to adult height but haven't quite got there yet. The second batch can be used as shorter adults too -- because not all humans are exactly the same height.
Pre-teen survivors
Teen survivors Available now at the link below. Painted by Simon Bradley. link This may be the last set we release before the Christmas break -- if so, have a happy holiday everyone! |

As the character Xander said in Buffy the Vampire, Scoobie gang. Maybe both gangs, you know a dog, groovy van, and associated gang members. Or the other one. |

I think more teen/pre-teen survivors without modern firearms would be good next (bat – [baseball and cricket,] wrench, ad hoc club, knife, hoe/rake.shovel,) I find "modern" survivors a bit over focused on modern firearms, please. |

There is enough firearms in the US to arm every man, woman, and child many times over, so I figure with a zombie apocalypse there would be plenty of firearms to pick and choose from. The last breakdown I recall about such subject was something like this based on per person; One Assault Style Rifle Two Hunting Rifles Two Shotguns Five Handguns Yeah so during such would be event there would be lots of weapons just laying around. So IMHO there is no such thing as to many figures with firearms. P.S. I will be get a couple set of those when the time comes |

There is enough firearms in the US to arm every man, woman, and child many times over, so I figure with a zombie apocalypse there would be plenty of firearms to pick and choose from. 1.) There aren't just piles of guns on every street corner. Yes, the country as a whole owns a lot of guns. But the real number breakdown is a lot of guns, outside of the police and the military, are owned by a smaller number of individuals. And anyone who has a few guns will work hard to defend said guns, and has the means (and likely the experience) to do that. 2.) Not everyone knows how to use a gun effectively, much less take care of them with little to no supplies, much less how to make ammo (which will be the real struggle in very short order.) 3.) Yes, we own a lot of guns, but we own even more baseball bats, wrenches, and crowbars, and those need less training and are less likely to accidentally kill the untrained user. And they use zero ammo and need little to no upkeep. |

That said, a lot of wargames, especially the post-apocalyptic/zombie/disaster kind are pretty gun-centric. And the ones the miniatures in this thread are equipped with are pretty spot on for something pulled off a walmart shelf, taken out of an abandoned squad car, or pulled from the zombie munched neighbor's garage. I think we miss out on focusing on the reality of a climatic event vs making it fun to play. We're also focusing usually on the "lucky few" who do have survival skills of some sort, because that makes it actually interesting vs watching our former Best Buy employee get munched on every game because he realistically lacks firearms training, likely wouldn't find a gun, and has no real hand to hand combat training And as a tangent to that end, while guns require training, being an effective hand to hand combatant, or using melee weapons is MUCH harder to get right, and many guns will last sometime with only needing a cleaning. Blades, especially modern ones weren't made to cleave skulls for a few weeks without being sharpened or beaten back into shape. So I guess TLDR, think these miniatures are about spot on. |
