I suddenly have become aware that, at least in the US, many businesses offer various goods & services with a discount (or in some cases for free!) on a customer's birthday. I do love free things which leads me to ask…

What are the best birthday related offers you know of (wargaming or otherwise)?

Kinda related, but Splintered Light Miniatures has a really good sale around owner David McBride's birthday.

In Denver my top two are:

Rodizio – Brazilian BBQ – all you can eat meat served at the table – buy one get one free on your birthday.

Fresh Fish Company – Sunday Brunch get a percentage off equal to your age (60 years = 60%).

JJ – Certainly. "oh man, it's a dollar off. I might never read it, but I'll have to pay another dollar later!"

Happens to me all the time and is the reason for a lot of my book shelf :-)

Can't remember which is the best, but for all of you business owners out there – don't know how typical this behavior is, but let's say I've been eyeing a bunch of your stuff, but can't bring myself to pull the trigger on the cost – then you do a XX% off sale for whatever reason, and my mind swtches somehow to the idea that it would be a shame to not take advantage of the sale, and end up spending even more than I wasn't willing to spend earlier just to use the sale.

Anyone else teiched in the head that way?

Terrement, that's the reason for MOST of my miniature purchases.
