Hello…as title said i recently purchased, from Ebay.it, at a very good price, a box full of Mirliton Napoleonic French Voltiguers plus some few guards and lines (all pre 1812 uniform)..In fact i don't play true Napoleonic (Imperial Period) at this scale..but, instead, at 25mm 28mm i have units for the French Revolution Wars..particularly the Vendée" and, to a lesser extent, the Italian Campaigns..i would like to know, please, if i would not be wrong in imagining that i can convert my Voltigeurs into Chasseurs of that earlier period..i collected some spare Hussards heads in Mirliton and some bicornes…the majority of miniatures manufactures and many ref plates depicts those light infatrymen with long tail coats..but, in a few texts, i also read that short tailed coats where populra among lights..so, if it's true, with a simple head swapping i can have my chasseurs..also, from few picts that i detected on the web, the plastic 28mm Victrix French Inf seem to have quite shorts tails… please your opinion on that matter thanks in advance |
