link Anyone watching this? It has some of the stupidity of any Reality show but they trot out some lovely kit. |

I've bumped into it once, some nice topics, but I couldn't stand the main guy and his 'buddy'. |

You could watch it with the sound off. I've seen three episodes. The one featuring the schwimmwagen was really good. Who wouldn't want to own an amphibious car? |

I've been watching it. Favourite bit so far was when they pulled the 251 tracks apart. There really is some nice stuff to see if, as you say, you can get past the reality style cheese and ott characters. |

I can't watch any reality show – the crap/meat ratio on all of them is too unbearable. |

From the Discovery Channel website: Military wheeler-dealer Bruce Crompton is a master of finding military memorabilia of all shapes and sizes. In the first episode of this fascinating series, Bruce publicly swims a German Army vehicle called a Schwimmwagen and goes on the hunt for one abandoned in Normandy, as well as a beast of a wartime Harley Davidson. Next up, Bruce wants to bag himself a mega-rich customer in the form of Russian Oligarch Slava; one of the biggest collectors in the business. Plus, Bruce rises to a challenge to do a D-Day parachute jump in Normandy and finds a British Army armoured car called a Dingo and an American Willy's jeep. Find out just how many wartime treasures exist today and how much care it takes to restore and collect them. |

the crap/meat ratio on all of them is too unbearable Yes, I know but a working schwimmwagen!?! They fix it & take it for a drive in the water. This certainly beats 'Britain's Got Talent'. |
