Since the Remote Control Boards start on 3/23/2013 it has a grand total of 14 posts. The most recent post was 3/30/2014. I say this board should die for lack of interest. The fifty people who voted for this board are probably not posting at all or obviously not very often. I say it dies due for lack of interest. |

From the TMP FAQ: "The Editors will consider deletion requests on a case-by-case basis. As a rule of thumb, if a board receives fewer than ten new topics per month, it is eligible for elimination." |

There's a 'Remote Control Board' ? Interesting… |

Why would anybody care enough to even bother to bring this up? |
Old Contemptibles | 15 Dec 2014 12:35 p.m. PST |
Someone cared enough about it to ask for it and at least "50" others cared enough to vote for it. We get all these votes for a new board and a big deal is made of it, then it is almost completely ignored. So time for some housekeeping. |

Speaking of which, does anyone know where I put the remote? And yes, I checked behind the thing. |

De-cluttering is always good. If it ain't being used, get rid of it! |

Who would benefit from that board's elimination? Anybody? Then why bother? Several years ago, someone with far too much time on his hands launched an anal crusade to eliminate a board dedicated to painting naval ships in the "wooden ships" era. Lord knows, there will not be as many articles as there would be in Napoleonics or ACW. Yet it contained valuable information. Nonetheless it HAD to be eliminated out of some idiotic desire to trim Boards. Sorry. That cannot be justified. |

Instead of eliminating it all, just transfer each thread to a different board? |
Abwehrschlacht | 16 Dec 2014 3:26 a.m. PST |
Maybe there will be some new posts on the board now you've brought it to everyone's attention? |

Turns out that there is no "Remote Control Board". It is the Remote Gaming Board. A different thing altogether. Granted it's a bit niche, but what harm has it ever done to you? 'Stay Classy' has a point. Where will the useful information go if you delete the board? Spreading it around the rest of TMP is a guarenteed way of losing it. Where would you start to look? |

Hmm. I do like the idea of movement trays controlled via remote! Dan |

It'll be safer to eliminate boards once we get to TMP 4.0. |

Hmm. I do like the idea of movement trays controlled via remote! With the way micro-robots have advanced over the past decade, then that may be a reality in the upcoming years. |

Then we can have 3D printing and painting and never have tp interact with our toys again. Won't that be wonderful? |
Old Contemptibles | 16 Dec 2014 4:52 p.m. PST |
It's the "Remote Gaming Board", well then we must keep it. That makes all the difference. I stand corrected. |

Then I think we should add a Remote Control Board. Mike Bunkermeister Creek Bunker Talk blog |

I love that this old house is so creaky and temperamental that "it'll be safer" to delete later…LOL Don't anger it! |

Boards are like new temporary taxes, they never go away. |
