I use Woodland Scenics products – I cover the bases with Brown Fine Ballast (using white glue to secure the ballast on the plywood bases) put the 12-15 elements/bases aside to dry for 24 hours, next day I dry brush over the Brown ballast with Ivory Acrylic paint and I add the turf grass here and there on the bases as you can see above photos..
