I have been playing a WWII tactical system called Conflict of Heroes – Storms of Steel and Awakening the Bear. (boardgames) I have a blog post that gives thoughts on how the game manages gun / armour performance with particular focus on the T34/76 and the Tiger. Link link |

normsmith, That's one of the best AAR's and game reports I've ever read! A magazine should write you to write for them. Don't expect much response on a miniatures site when discussing a board game. Well done. Wolfhag |

Thanks Wolfhag. I know some have converted the CoH system to miniatures play, but that cross-over is probably relatively small. This has been one of my longest posts, requiring a lot of work, yet has garnered the least amount of comment, even on the boardgames forums – so I appreciate your acknowledgement. |

Normsmith that was a very informative post and review. Sounds like just the system I am looking for. Went to the Academy site only to learn that SoS is now out of print! Bummer. Guess I will have to check out the early war version. Thanks. |

Very nice! For those of you who are interested both games, as well as ghost division expansion are available as computer games. They did a very good job of porting them over. link |
