I'm doing a series of historical lessons of battles using miniatures. I'm calling them miniature reenactments. Here's the one I did of First Bull Run/Manassas:

I know the course of the battle already but that's a great way to teach history for children and\or the uninterested as the use of miniatures captures the imagination.

One: How long did it take you to put it all together?

Two: What are the red and green antenna balls on the bases for?

I enjoyed it as well. The only thing that makes me cringe is the inclusion of that ridiculous theory that Bee's famous statement about Jackson "standing like a stonewall" was actually a criticism of him. I find it unbelievable that such bizarre suggestion ever got an traction at all.
