I'd been sitting and looking at my grenadier models for a long time, trying to figure out how to get lights in them like my other tripods. The problem was that the head was just too small to fit in the light, the switch and the battery pack. Finally I gave in and conceded that I was going to have to put the switch and the battery pack on the base and only have the light inside the head and run the wires down one of the legs. So that's what I did. I drilled a hole through the head and down the central hub and ran the wires out through it. And I didn't want the battery and switch exposed, so I made a wrecked tank with a removable top and put them inside that. I'm quite pleased with the result. I'm working on a second one now which will have a wrecked building on the base. This makes the bases a little large, but I figure in most games the grenadiers won't be moving around a lot and will stay to the rear.

looks great, a small bunker under the tripod might be a future space saver on the base |

Very clever, indeed. I still think the Gren' model looks startled about something though. :O |
