I've posted a preliminary review of these rules by a long time wargames freind, Bob Jones. As you may know, the rules are entirely on CD (although there are some pdf's you will want to print out, and many others that you can print out).

The approximately 1 hour long video presentation explaining and illustrating the rules is very well done; Bob was A professional TV producer for many years, and it shows!

There is a "slideshow" in both Quicktime and pdf formats of about 70 slides which is more or less the core "printed rules", and they can be exported to you tablet, ipad, laptop, or Kindle (etc), replacing a conventional rule book. It is also very professionally done.

Technically, theses rules on DVD are a tour de force, really. There is nothing else quite like them! All that is very nice and interesting, of course, but how about the RULES themselves?

I think DF2 has evolved the original, intriguing Die Fighting concepts into a much more streamlined, focused, and fun looking game with a lot of potential, which I discuss in the review.

As for further review after an actual play of the new rules, that will have to wait a bit longer – although I might put my first game on the table with them as early as this weekend!
