There's quite a bit of stuff out there in 15mm.

What's the best source of "space soviet" infantry ? Capturing a bit of futuristic red army look.

Ideally something where there's a good variety of infantry poses available.

Thanks.

I should add, I have a bunch of the Armies Army "Rusk" and those are excellent. Just wondering about what other options are out there.

Bugs, Mr Rico!

The Khurasan Nova Respublik would be my choice, the RUSK size well with them, but I use them as Spetznaz in heavy padded armour since the height matches well but those Ruskies are chunkier. I just wish there were more officer figures.

I wanted Retro Soviet sci-fi so use the ex-Kremlin Minis (now MY Miniatures)

Based loosely on the imagery in this video. Don't like Metallica but the clips ok.

Hands down for me Armies Army "Rusks" or Khurasan "Combat Batallion" Keith is also bringing out another range of near future Soviets "The White Russians" so wait for them to be released and then choose, its going to be a tough choice… :) Zac

15mm.co.uk Post Apocalyptic Warriors make great futuristic Red Army troops in greatcoats and gas-masks.

I am with McWong on using Khurasan Nova Respublik as your future Soviet/Communist forces. I have plenty of the current line and they have the evocative Neo Soviet look to them.

Johny Boy12 Dec 2014 9:07 a.m. PST

My money would be on a combinatin of figures, for your general purpose Internal Security troops and Militia I'm using Khurasan's Control Battalion troopers.

Really like the sinister lok these guys have with their all over helm breathing aperatus.

For my superior quality Gaurds battalion troops I will be looking again at Khurasan minis forthcoming USMC figs as they are as near as dammit close to these guys from the Keloid movie trailoer which is a major inspiration for me in the aesthetic of the force.

For Spetznaz i'm also using the superb armiesarmy RUSK troops, these are superb little sculpts with loads of character.

For Power Armoured troops i'm looking at Khurasan's Goverment Forces on Power Armour from their Post Apoic range

Hope these suggestions help, there's a lot of fantastic stuff out there so best of luck comrade…just remember "Quantity has a quality all of it's own"….

I am so looking forward to the release of Armies Army Imperial White Russian forces, the poses and their battle dress just looks spot on for any near future hard core elite force. A Rebel minis Titan Hind like VTOL gunship for support and a couple of light to medium fast tracked or wheeled tanks and your have one sweet looking strike force. :) zac
