I have a lot of figures based on fender washers. I want to line the inside of my boxes with magnetic sheets to keep them from moving around. I bought some at a Michael's and it wasn't anywhere near strong enough. Anyone done this and have recommendations on what to buy? I am fine ordering it from somewhere. I just don't want to waste my money on something that won't work. I don't need to be able to turn the box upside down with the figures inside, just have it be strong enough to keep them from moving. |

Hey Bill, Check in the glue section at Michael's, there is a brand of adhesive magnet sheets called Aleene's I use them on my lead 28mm figs. |

I bought mine at an art supply store, it came in rolls, I believe 2' or 3' wide. It was expensive, but much cheaper than from hobby stores. |

I just happened to be researching this today. The best value I found was through this ebay seller, search terms magnum magnetic auction Prices are start around $3 USD a square foot and go as low as $1.35 USD SHIPPED if you buy a 50 foot roll. But they have deals all in between. At dick blick you can pick a color but it's a flat 2.70/square foot no matter how much you buy. link |

I get mine from McMaster-Carr. It comes in big rolls. It is powerful enough that when I transport 11 tubs of figs to conventions (3.5-4.5 hour drives) almost none of them move out of thousands of figures. |

I ordered my rolls from Magnet King. They will also cut to size if you want. They have multiple strength magnets so you can pick what you want. I went with the "medium" strength and it holds even large 28mm cavalry figures in place. magnetking.com |

BIG ditto to Pictor. I have been using M-C for 15 years. Large rolls are cheap. I put it on bottom of figures and thin sheet steel in box, but it works the other way around. link |

I have ordered from magnet valley and can recommend their product and service They will probably be able to cut to a specific size of you ask They will do small orders if you want to get a couple of sizes to try things out before buying a big roll magnetvalley.com Thanks John |

I went to a sign maker and bought the sheet magnet that they use on signs that stick to cars and vans. It was pretty heavy but there was no shipping to pay. |

Second magnet valley and 60mil sheets. They sell on ebay at times. About $3 USD a sheet on ebay and $2.50 USD thru magnet valley. The 60mil really holds well. |

Have you tried Litko or Rennaissance Ink as sources? Granted, most of my figures are 3/6/15/25 mm but depending on the size of the box I have had no problems using them for specific purposes. |

Your best bet is to go to a local sign store. I have lived all over the country and sign stores have always been willing to sell me asany linear feet (2 feet wide) as I want for a fraction of the cost of other sources colored in this thread. Buck |

Hey new member here but I thought I'd drop in and make a suggestion…I'd recommend going with DiscountMagnet.com's 30 mil thick adhesive magnet rolls. They should definitely hold everything in place. You can cut the rolls to custom sizes and use any container that you want. Good luck! Here's a link to the product: DiscountMagnet.com's Strong Adhesive Magnet Rolls |

I second the recommendation for McMaster-Carr. Very strong magnetic sheeting. |
