A little bit of light-hearted Xmas relief, Heroes of Normandie:

It looks like it has high production values.

I love this game. It's not so much a realistic simulation of squad level WWII combat but a fun and 'cinematic' tactical boardgame that plays fast and like a miniature game. It's easy to learn but difficult to master, and the variety of detachments allows for great flexibility in choosing your force.

The thick double-sided punch board counters are beautifully illustrated with top down cartoon-style artwork and relevant stats. The 'scale' approximates 15mm (horizontally) even though it's two-dimensional so we're not talking about vertical scale.

It is a great game, somewhat reminiscent of the Battlegroup minis games. Make sure you snap up any of the expansions you want as they come out, though, as they become OOP quite quickly.

Yeah, I really like the game. I am kicking myself that I chose Sergeant's Miniatures Game Kickstarter over the Heroes of Normandie Kickstarter. I could not get into the former and the latter is very accessible.
