I've just received through the post some Call to Arms 1/32 British Napoleonic Foot Guards. They're rather lovely but every figure is a flank company man. What skirmish rules are suitable for 54mm combat if I decide that I want to fight pure skirmish games with these skirmisher figures? |

Hello. You have quite a few choices here. Paddy Griffth's "Napoleonic Wargaming for Fun" has skirmish rules that work with 54mm as do my own Two Hour Wargames offering "95th". The nice thing about wargaming with figures is that distances can always be altered to accomodate figure size and gamer desier so long as all changes are constant. For example if you double the range of a weapon you must double the distance figures can move and so on. With that in mind Ganesha's "Song of drums and shakos" and Pete Berry's (?) "Once Upon a Time in the Pennisula" also ought to work. IMO "Sharp Practice" is better for larger skirmishes than smaller ones but would certainly work with 54's if you have enough figures. I am sure I am forgetting a few others. Sorry and no disrespect to any not mentioned. Bob |
