Sweet! And anything can be made even better with Verdi's Requiem backing it up. |

Wow, I never thought I would see a trailer for "Gorkamorka: The Movie." But seriously, this looks like an over the top ultraviolent re-imagining of one of my favorite movies of all time. |

Wow, that trailer definitely takes a different tack compared to the teaser trailer from Comic-Con earlier this year. Now how many youngsters are going to see this movie because someone described it to them as "Borderlands the Movie?" |

"looks like an over the top ultraviolent re-imagining of one" of the first movies to be over the top ultra violent. |

I've said it before, I'll say it again: I'll be there opening day. |

The trailer starts out looking and sounding exactly like the Star Wars trailer. |

I liked the first trailer better, but now I see the new movie is more like a video game, much like current movies that have all the depth and soul of Chicken McNuggets. I'm a bit disappointed really. My dream was always to see Mel in a final Max movie where we finally see our reluctant hero at the end of the road and what has happened to the alternate Earth the movies became as reality passed them by. I want to see Max/Mel finally "win" and at rest. I guess that final Mel movie will never happen and all we'll get is rebooted drek like the current Star Trek movies so more $$$ can be made. My kids (all in college) think the original Max movies are dumb. Sigh. On a positive note, they love the original Trek movies and hate the new ones, so there is hope for the younger generation. LoL. |

It's very…busy. Yeah, Borderlands, The Motion Picture. I'd be there, dude, if only this is what it actually WAS. I'm was with Tibbles concerning closing out my beloved series out with Mel. But I was only OK with a new MM if Miller was on board, but now… I'm not so sure. Yeah, it looks way-cool (and then some), but soulless, super-charged thrill-rides are a dime a dozen thes days. *cough*hobbit*cough* |

I'm getting tired of every movie writer and director trying to out action the last guy. Every super hero movie has a world destroying plot that has to be stopped. Every action sequence has to be bigger, longer, more destructive than the last. I was intrigued by this remake until the car chase through the multiple tornado desert popped up. Really, did we have to dial it up to that level. I guess big crazy vehicles smashing into each other with weapons blazing and explosions just wasn't enough….. it needs more tornadoes. I guess I should just be happy the tornadoes didn't have sharks in them, with lasers on their heads….. oh well. |
