Interesting, but I'll stick with my Hirst Arts molds. Doug |

This product is brilliant, and it is well executed. It is tempting… The advantage these have over DF, and other 3D terrains, is there are no walls to interfere with your mini's arms and weapons. These also lack the weight, and brittleness, of any plaster products. It is essentially a commercialized version of DM Scotty's 2.5D concept, and a very good one at that. The artist behind DF is brilliant at creating products, but his business is not at the same level. If these guys can hold up the business side, as well as they are doing with the artistic side, they could be quite successful, with great longevity. I'll be watching. Cheers! |

I don't know if I can see anything resoundingly better about these as compared to Hirst tiles cast in resin and coated with Plasti-Dip spray on the underside. The clincher would be an interlocking system that would guarantee that the entire dungeon wouldn't be destroyed by an errant player or cat or something. I pine for the days of Make Knight's dungeon tiles, which I completely missed the boat on. |

I don't think this will slide around on the table. I like that the walls are gone so the more animated figures will fit. I think that these tiles are lighter than any hirst cast tiles. And also easier to modify. |

The advantage these have over DF, and other 3D terrains, is there are no walls to interfere with your mini's arms and weapons. And the disadvantage is there are no walls to look cool, so I may as well use flat printed tiles. A 3D floor seems a bit…lacking. YMMV. I do like the doors. |

I had the dwarven forge and they were too narrow. I went to Ainsty and they were great but my players did not want to keep standing during the game. In both cases, storage became an issue. I love having the walls, but there is only so much storage space, so I think these flat tiles will be good for the RPG nights and I will keep using the Ainsty dungeon sets for skirmish or solo gaming. I'll use 'em with my DF tiles. The DF tiles I can make "boss monster" rooms, and the DS tiles corridors and whatnot. I also don't have that many DF tiles, so DS tiles will keep me from having to rebuild the dungeon during gameplay! If you're a HA caster, I'm not sure how much you need these tiles. I have the Scenic Woodlands Rock plaster-making kit and it's been sitting in my closet for years. Pretty much tells me how much of a caster I am! |

I hate to be the one to say this but their Egyptian pieces and treasure piles are old Reaper figures, old but still available from Reaper. I call shenanigans. |

Reaper's actually a big supporter of the KS and mentioned them in one of their Bones II updates: "Did you know that when our Bones Containers arrive, Mario, Melinda, and their kids help us to unload them? Our product, and they help us do the heavy lifting. They add 4-5 bodies to our 20-something, and help make the job a little easier. They're truly wonderful people, and very good friends, and we are honored to be a part of helping their project to succeed." link |
