I saw The War of the Three Gods: Romans, Persians and the Rise of Islam by Peter Crawford the other day.
Anyone know of any reviews by reputable historians or have you read this yourself? The Heraclius-Khosroes War and the eruption of the Muslims right afterwards has always intrigued me. |
