I know the RPG guys do this occasionally. So here's the idea: A bunch of people get together. We pick a keyword or two. Everyone has 24 hours from hte keyword is posted to write a war game. Doesn't have to be long or complex, I imagine these will be 3-4 page affairs. Then we all point and laugh at how silly they are. Maybe even have a vote on which was the better/more creative/more fun/might actually have turned out to be a playable game on accident. Any interest in something like this from a writer/judge perspective? If we got a tradition going, maybe we could even scare up a few prices.

If that is the premise, why bother? You refer to RPGs. It is taken with a certain degree of seriousness there. E.g. game-chef.com |

Ha! Already won. I have been convalescing after eye surgery, and wrote an AWI game for use with cheap 1/32 plastic soldiers (based on a pack I bought at Valley Forge a few years back). 10 pages (with illustrated bits), quick, fun, and ready to go. All it needs is the playtesting. |

I was being facetious in my post about "pointing and laughing". |
