I have been fooling around with this army for six months. I just couldn't get it right. One mistake I made was painting the red shields red. They need to be white for the transfers to work. I ended up painting over the other colours (yellow, green, gold) as I had dulled them too much with my mistake. Now I think it looks good.

The army is decent sized and enough for most club games. In the box you get

  • 24 Auxilia
  • 20 Pretorians
  • 20 Veteran Legionaries
  • 60 Legionaries

A couple of Generals and you are ready to go.

These have come up very well – good job on the shields, my hand would not be steady enough anymore!

Very nice and a very gritty realistic look
