The later Carabiniers are one of my favorite looking Napoleonic cavalry units. I am not typically a French player (played almost all of the anti-French armies over the years, currently field Prussians, British, and Portuguese… but have some French to help out the French players in the club)…. but…. they sure did have some nice uniforms :) Chalfant |

and the trumpeter did get a black sheepskin…….nice one! You've also solved a puzzle for me. I keep buying Perry plastic French heavies and always wondered what a little tear drop shaped moulding was. It is a sheepskin cover for the officer's pistol holder! Never seen that before…now I know! |
